Who we are

Snagsmith is an independent, UK-based operator analysing publicly available reviews of local businesses to produce operational reports. Snagsmith is pre-incorporation and currently operates as a sole founder. For any privacy question, contact hello@snagsmith.co.uk.

What we collect

We collect two kinds of information:

• Publicly available reviews of a business (for example, on Google), which we read and analyse to identify recurring operational patterns.
• Business contact details— such as the name and email address of a venue's owner or manager — which we use to send outreach about our audits and reports.

We do not collect personal data about a business's customers, and we do not ask venues for login credentials or access to private systems.

Why we process it

We process business contact details under legitimate interest, for the purpose of business-to-business outreach relevant to the recipient's role. We process public review content under legitimate interest to produce the operational analysis a business requests or that we offer them as a free audit.

Data is not sold

We do not sell, rent, or trade any data we hold to third parties.

How long we keep it

We retain data for no longer than needed for the stated purpose — for example, contact details are removed if outreach is unsuccessful or once you ask us to stop, and review analysis tied to a report is kept only as long as the relationship with that business is active.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Object to us processing your data, including for outreach.
• Access the data we hold about you.
• Erasure — ask us to delete your data.
